Private hospitality in Sohar
Frequently asked questions
Answers about booking, half-day vs full-day, deposits, guest registration, capacity and house rules at Tulip Rest House, Sohar.
Is the house really private?
Yes. We accept only one booking at a time — the pool, majlis, kitchen and bedrooms belong entirely to your group for the whole slot.
What is the difference between half day and full day?
A half day is one period: morning 09:00–15:00 or evening 16:00–23:00. A full day covers both, from 09:00 to 23:00, and you can add an overnight to check out at 11:00 the next day.
How do I book and pay?
Pick your date on the booking page — we hold it while you confirm with us on WhatsApp. Payment is by cash or bank transfer; no card is needed to request a date.
How many guests can we bring?
Up to 60 guests for daytime gatherings, and the three bedrooms sleep your overnight party comfortably.
Is there a deposit?
A refundable security deposit is added to your total and returned after your stay, subject to the house rules.
Do weekend prices differ?
Yes — weekends (Friday and Saturday in Oman) and official public holidays use the weekend rate. The calendar always shows which rate applies.
Why do you need names of everyone staying?
Omani regulations require a guest register for overnight stays. We record each guest’s name and ID details securely — the form takes a minute.
Can we decorate or cater an event?
Absolutely — tell us in the booking notes. Decorations are welcome as long as nothing is fixed to walls, and the kitchen is fully equipped for catering.
